"This course focus on physical rehabilitation practices and, therefore, involves the study of various pathological conditions affecting more than one area of physical human functioning. It introduces the students to the role of the occupational therapist in relation to people with neurological, orthopedic and muscular dysfunctions such as cerebral vascular accidents, degenerative diseases, burns and head injuries. The course includes assessment and treatment of cognitive, perceptual and sensori-motor functions and will focus on the context of the client’s home, familial life, school and work environment. This course will discuss OT assessment processes & legitimate tools for each diagnosis, leading to professional rehabilitation-program planning according to objective tests results & evidence-based clinical reasoning.
